We also provide integrated design services that connect with your project’s other systems to improve installation efficiency.
Classification of Steel Sandwich Panel

Polystyrene sandwich panels are the most widely used type in the market. Their material cost is 30-50% lower than that of polyurethane and rock wool while offering good thermal insulation performance and a thinner profile. It can meet the basic needs of most industrial warehouses.

The most notable features of the polyurethane sandwich panel are its insulation and waterproofing performance. The thermal conductivity of polyurethane is only 0.018-0.027 W/(m·K), making it among the lowest of steel sandwich panels. Its ≤1% water absorption rate helps maintain the stability of its internal structure in high-humidity environments.

It has the highest fire resistance among the core materials used in steel sandwich panels and can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000℃. Rock wool sandwich panels are the first choice for A-level fire protection projects. Its sound absorption performance can reach a DELTA LA of 15.7 dB(A).

Glass wool has an A-level fire-resistance rating and excellent air-purification performance. The glass wool sandwich panels with polyurethane double-sided sealing can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000℃. It can effectively filter airborne impurities and improve air quality.

The zinc layer on the surface prevents air and moisture from contacting the steel and protects it. The weight of the galvanized steel plates is only 1/30 of that of traditional building materials, which reduces transportation and installation costs and effectively improves the construction efficiency of your building project.

The aluminum-zinc alloy layer on the surface combines the antioxidant property of aluminum and the electrochemical protection of zinc, making the corrosion resistance of the aluminum-zinc-coated color steel 2 to 6 times that of the conventional galvanized color steel. Therefore, it can adapt to harsher construction environments.
Features of steel sandwich panels

1/30 weight of the traditional brick wall sinificantly reduces the load on the building.

A-level fire resistance ratings of rock wool and glass wool, and B-level polyurethane meets the fire safety standards for your building.

The porous structure of rock wool and glass wool effectively absorbs mid-to-high frequency sound waves, creating a quiet working environment for your production workshop.

It shortens the construction period by 50% compared with traditional brick walls, reducing labor and time costs.

Simple appearance and corrosion-resistant surface maintain color for up to 25 years.

Can be customized in terms of materials, thickness, density, color, and size to meet the climatic conditions, functional requirements, and appearance design of your project.
High-Intensive Steel Panels
The steel sandwich panels have high mechanical strength, enhancing their overall load-bearing capacity and helping the core material resist wind, rain, and snow. The steel panels exhibit good toughness and will not fail under temperature changes or high stress, ensuring the building’s safety.

High-Efficiency Insulation Performance
The steel sandwich panels, available with various core materials, offer excellent thermal insulation. They can improve heat-exchange efficiency and maintain a stable indoor temperature, thereby reducing energy consumption for heating and cooling. Compared with traditional composite walls, they reduce energy loss in buildings by 60%.
Application of Steel Sandwich Panels
Steel sandwich panels are widely used. We understand that each industry has specific requirements, so our steel sandwich panels are customized with different core materials to suit a range of applications.

Steel sandwich panels provide insulation, fire protection and heat preservation functions for industrial plants and logistics warehouses. When constructing industrial buildings, their relatively light weight and high strength can enhance construction efficiency.

Greenhouse shed: Steel sandwich panels are usually used to construct the roof and walls of greenhouse sheds. With the greenhouse automation system in control, precise temperature control and insulation can be achieved, thereby increasing crop yield.
Livestock and poultry housing: Pig houses, chicken houses, and cattle sheds all require a suitable environment in different seasons. The surface of the steel sandwich panels is easy to disinfect and clean, reducing the risk of viral transmission in livestock and poultry housing.

Cold storage: In food processing plants, polyurethane sandwich panels are commonly used for cold storage. The inner core of this steel sandwich panel is a closed-cell structure that effectively prevents water vapor from penetrating the interior and reduces the panel’s insulation performance.
Refrigerated vehicle: The most common types of steel sandwich panels used in refrigerated vehicles are polyurethane and glass wool. Both have excellent insulation properties, providing a stable, consistent temperature environment for the goods inside the refrigerated vehicle. Their lightweight nature reduces the vehicle’s own weight, thereby improving transportation efficiency.

Photovoltaic power stations: Steel sandwich panels are commonly used to construct management and equipment rooms to maintain stable internal temperatures and protectequipment.
Wind power generation equipment: Some equipment uses steel sandwich panels and other materials to provide insulation and soundproofing.

Glass wool sandwich panels are often used in steel sandwich panels for soundproof walls in areas such as highways, railways, and airports. The porous structure of the glass wool sandwich panels absorbs mid- to high-frequency sound waves, reducing noise impact on the surrounding environment.
- Our Factory
- Project Case
During loading, we use reinforced wooden crates and special corner protectors to safeguard the steel sandwich panels from transportation jolts. At the same time, we covered them with waterproof tarpaulins to prevent corrosion from the moisture of the sea. As a reliable steel sandwich panel manufacturer in China, we can efficiently manage logistics and ensure timely delivery to global suppliers.
We use high-pressure fluorine-free foaming technology. We use cyclopentane and carbon dioxide as foaming agents during manufacturing and ensure foaming stability through strict temperature control. This foaming technology achieves a 92% closed-cell rate in the core material, resulting in lower water absorption and improved thermal insulation performance.
Our steel plate connection system uses a concealed snap-on connection and an exposed nail connection. The exposed nail connection is prone to water leakage over time. During installation, we use rubber gaskets to seal gaps and prevent water ingress.
The surface of the steel plate with a hidden snap-on connection has no perforations, so water cannot seep through the screws. When installing key nodes, such as the roof ridge, we use butyl tape to seal. Its excellent elasticity and stable physical properties help prevent thermal expansion and contraction under varying weather conditions.
What Is A Steel Sandwich Panel?
Steel sandwich panels are a building material consisting of a core and two steel panels. They have excellent properties, including fire resistance, insulation, waterproofing, weather resistance, wind resistance, pressure resistance, and sound absorption, and are widely used in industry, agriculture, construction, and cold chain logistics.
How to Select The Appropriate Steel Sandwich Panels for Your Project?
Steel sandwich panels serve different functions depending on the core material and panel configuration. You need to choose the right steel sandwich panels that suit your project requirements.
Projects with Strict Requirements for Fire Safety

Areas where flammable substances are stored are prone to fires and can cause losses, including chemical warehouses, gas stations, and workshops with high-temperature heat sources such as foundries and welding workshops. Therefore, they have higher requirements for fire prevention standards.
If your project is subject to fire regulations, a grade A rock wool sandwich panel would be a good choice. It ensures the safety of your workshop’s personnel and property.
Projects with Requirements for Temperature Control
Cold storage and food processing workshops require refrigeration equipment. The low thermal conductivity of polyurethane sandwich panels helps the cold chain logistics industry reduce energy consumption and costs.
Some workshops require a stable, precise manufacturing environment, including temperature-controlled facilities for electronic manufacturing and clean rooms, which benefit from a stable insulation environment. A stable thermal insulation environment reduces the impact of temperature on production accuracy. Therefore, we recommend using polyurethane- or rockwool-core panels.
Projects with Requirements for Cost Control and Extensive Coverage
For projects that require extensive use of steel sandwich panels and have no strict fire-safety requirements, we recommend using polystyrene sandwich panels. They provide basic insulation, moisture-proofing, and sufficient mechanical strength. Their low cost helps you stay within budget.
